  • Z Buffer and alpha maps (i.e. leaves on a tree that are mapped on cards)

This is bothering me for a while and i was wondering if the shop is closed for vray 2.0 already.

I would love to have a check box in the ZDepth render element to take into account alpha maps on objects. Other renderers have that feature since a while now...

Best example i can think of is a tree that has leaves mapped on cards with alpha channels. The ZBuffer will always show the whole cards and make the deph render element useless.

This works fine since SP4 I think, but you need to turn on the "Filtering" option for the Z-Depth element.

    Best regards,
