  • Camera details within VRIMG file

Not sure if this has been asked (or even if I've asked!) before, but a useful addition to the VRIMG file would be a type of EXIF data for the vraycamera.

    For instance:-
    Focal length
    Position in space
    Target position
    Aperture
    Shutter Speed
    White balance
    etc.

    Is this possible?

(additionally, is it possible for white balance to be selected after the render, in the same way that you can modify the white balance of a photo when you shoot RAW?)
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

Some of this data is already written (camera transformation, FOV, f-number etc). It is also carried over if you convert the .vrimg file to an OpenEXR file.

Where do I find this info? I've converted a vrimg file to an EXR and opened it in PhotoShop CS2. Going to 'file info' in PS doesn't give any info as far as I can see.
      Kind Regards,

Ideally the OpenEXR loader should handle this info; there are attributes in the OpenEXR file for this data (e.g. "cameraTransform", "cameraFov" etc). I know that you can read them in Nuke; not sure about PhotoShop.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

CS2 is really bad at RAW/EXIF camera data.
Newer versions CS4 and CS5 are much better.
You can also use ifranview to view the RAW/EXIF data (and its a free programme)
