Download mirrors for VRay builds

The title says it. There is always a problem with downloading!

Have you considered hosting it as a torrent besides the regular download links?

It would have been possible if the files everyone downloaded were the same. But they are not

In most torrent clients it is possible to select which file(s) within the torrent you wish to download.

This way you can have all the current vray versions in a single torrent - ofcourse then the whole torrent needs to be updated whenever there's a new release/sp - but it's not THAT often, is it?

Just a thought.

What I mean is, that every download is unique to the user downloading it.

Well, but at the moment the whole system doesn´t seem to work at all.
Constant interruptions after half of the file is downloaded. I mean has actually anyone
downloaded it successfully ? People will just try and try and noone will get their total unique file.
Usually if a server is overloaded you just can´t get a line at all or the download is extremly slow.
But getting always a fracture of a file will just overload your line and won´t stop people from trying.

Yes, I wasn't saying that the system did not need improvement It's definitely something we need to work on.

cant u give use mirror links for each unique download ? Get a second server or something like that?

Regarding the unique file. Our distributor offered us to upload it on their ftp as soon as they
or one of their other customer succesfully downloaded it. So whatever your´re trying to
do with those unique files. It might not work

I would guess it works like expected in such a situation...if that build shows up in the wild it is telling who didnt follow the rules :P

Isn't download section with all versions available to every 1 btw?(just need to register) What good does it do for any1 if they dont have dongle.../excluding crackers...

Nope. If you are not a customer you get only demo builds if i am not mistaken

Exactly what I thought. But it´s not uncommon that a distributor offers a file to their customers when you have problems downloading it,
just in the best interest of their customer without any "evil" intentions.
This could backfire pretty badly.
