Hi,
I'd like Chaos group to take a look at the MR a/d material and the edge filleting in that.
It has a very useful function where it will fillet the edges between intersecting objects - so you can just sink an object into another and there will be a blend where the two meet.
The VRayEdgesTexture map doesn't do this - it also lacks the ability to control where the edges map appear when used as a diffuse map or mask.
If it could be applied just to smoothing group boundaries, or named selections, and have paramaters mappable (e.g.) width etc. it would really make it a lot more useful.
If CG could take a look at the A/D material, as well as f-edge - combining aspects of the 3 would make it very useful as a map.
Thanks,
Steve
