  • Linked V-ray camera exposure

I wonder if in the future releases of v-ray there can be added a "lock camera exposure settings" button.
I worked on a project lately where I used the camera built-in DOF/Mblur. I had the exposure set as I wanted it, but when trying to achieve the desired DOF/Mblur effect I found myself going through the tideous process of matching the shutter speed to the F-stop values to get the same EV value.
It would be very neat to have the option to lock those values together.
Same could be applied to the camera zoom/focus distance.

    Best regards

I've searched for a similar thread, but didn't find any. Good to know.

Just turn off the exposure of the physical camera, and use only the Color mapping settings to adjust the image brightness...

Wouldnt that mean keeping a note of all color mapping settings for every camera?

In a typical arch viz scene, I might have 20+ different vrayphysicalcameras, all with completely different exposure settings due to differing lighting conditions. Once I have found a good exposure for one camera, I might want to change the DOF effect by altering the f-stop, but keep the exposure the same. I'd even like to see aperture priority and shutter priority modes like on a DSLR

Yep, aperture/shutter priority are on the "to do" list...
