    Hello,
    as far i've tested LC + LC method can give good (very good) results for average GI quality pics.
    it can be improved by lowering the sample size, but in other hands need huge subdivs in same time, and can't reveal tiny GI details in any case.

    Is it technically possible to use the Detail enhance from irradiance map and use it as a finition pass for lightcache ? i'm pretty sure it'll gives very good results in no time, as in this case, 0.01 sample size will be enough to capture the rough GI, completed by the Bruteforce DE method.
