    Hi,

    My proposal is probably a drastic one, but I see the camera object as the basis of every rendering setup. In my opinion, almost every parameters that are in the "render setup" panel should be considered only as default values which could then be tuned in the camera parameters if needed.

    That way, we could create a camera, make all the render setup we want within the camera parameters and then push render. Want to do another render from another view with another settings, no problem just select the right camera, and hit render button.

    My reflection about this came from the fact that I usually have to make a lot of changes between each camera rendering, and remember them by saving each setup with the proper camera name for example. Also, I usually need to switch the camera type to create a "spherial" image at 360 degrees. Why theses parameters aren't directly in the camera itseft. At least, all the parameters concerning the camera in the render setup should definitly be in the camera itself.

    But I would prefer to see V-Ray takes the problem with a larger perspective as I explain previously. Am I the only one?

    Although not in the camera as such there are already several plugins that provide this functionality.Renderpass manager is one,I think there is one call L Pass manager that is free, search scriptspot.
