  • Texture "resize" at render time?

    Hi,

usually, in our library, we create a shader with a texture a biggest as possible. Obviously for quality purpose.
But, some time, we don't need a 8K wood texture for a windows frame, or concrete for very far structure.
So, it's possible add a tools in the renderer rollout (Global switches?) where insert the max text size and % for the resize (and include/Exclude)
This is can be useful for RAM consuming. Just an Idea...

Can you not use the 3ds Max Bitmap proxy system? Works quite well on my tests (we also got it to work for V-Ray RT recently).

    Best regards,
    Vlado
