    Yep, even easier if you have a render pass system.

    For the 16bit 32bit thing you don't need a separate render though, you can define the bit depth for each render element separately in max. Requires some scripting and you can't render with the Vray VFB though.

      I'm off in maya land for a few months so lots of new little quirks to work through. How are they treating you in stuttgart?

            Yes, only in V-Ray RT CPU 3.0 builds and in 3.0 RT GPU through render element.
