  • Vray glass mat in viewport

I wish that when I apply a Vray glass mat (black diffuse, white reflect, white refract) to an object, the viewport would indeed show a transparent glass mat. As it is now it stays black and sometimes it's annoying because I want to be able to see through it somewhat like a preview. This works with standard Max materials but not VRay. Just a wish!

    i second that

in the meantime, what you can do is apply a shell material and set the vray slot to "render" and a standard material with opacity to "viewport"

And when I go to render change the sheel to only the vray mat correct? Nice work-around btw.

Or just Alt-x the object, and make it see through in veiport.
