as far as i know, currently a single vray fur object can only be assigned to one source mesh at a time.. this can make it kind of a pain to control when many objects need the same parameters. any reason one vray fur object can't use multiple source meshes?

I can't think of an immediate reason; have you tried wiring the nodes manually to a single VRayFur node?

For 3ds Max, it is more complicated...
