  • Reflections & Refractions REs - include / exclude

    Hello,

I'm wondering if it would be possible to implement an Include/Exclude feature in Reflections (RawReflection, ReflectionFilter, Reflection) and Refractions (RawRefraction, RefractionFilter, Refraction) render elements ? Primarily for objects to exclude or exclude, but maybe for materials to output on these REs ...

    What do you think ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards.

Do you want to exlude the objects from the render elements themselves (what should be in their place, btw?) or from reflections/refractions at all (which is a different issue and would be solved independently of render elements)?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

I would imagine that if the object is excluded from reflection/refraction then it would just show environment color.

Yes, this is clear; I was rather asking about the render elements...

          Hello Vlado,

Well, ideally, I'd like to set what objects are considered in the Reflections and Refractions REs. For example, let's say I have 3 categories of objects A / B / C, I'd like to have the possibility to get 1 reflections RE for objects A only, 1 reflections RE for objects B only, and finally 1 reflections RE for objects C only ...
