  • Show computer name instead of ip on DR log

Any possibility of getting this as an option in the Vray messages windows?

We usually go by computer name rather than ip, so instead of

    connected to render host: 192.168.26.2
    connected to render host: 192.168.26.16
    connected to render host: 192.168.26.80

    we have

    connected to render host: pc1
    connected to render host: pc2
    connected to render host: pc3

    Cheers

if you have your comp properly named and add the servers by the comp names, you ll see the comp names in the buckets already

I second this motion! We can add servers to the DR list using their name, and their names pop up in the buckets, but where the name is most needed is in the vray message window to diagnose which server isn't working when an error pops up... Vlado, please, this has to be an easy one

Haha, I didn't even notice that 2.20 has this feature already... Kudos, Chaos Group.

How can we change the display from IP to servername in the logfile? I´m using 2.20.03. Thank you.
