  • Blend Render element like in Scanline render

    Hi Vlado,

I'm developing a simple workflow for enhanced DOF comp on hair, minimizing artifacts. All is good, except I really need a 'Blend' render element(like the one in the scanline render) in order to make the simplest possible comp tree.

In general the Blend render element is just a really neat way of choosing your elements, so please put it in there It seems like a pretty simple task?

    Best,

If it is that simple, why not generate the elements separately and composite them in post

    Best regards,

Well - I think it's a bit waste of data to have several half float channels inside my exr files. I would like to have just final color and atmosphere + misc 8 bit utility channels. I think our network would suffer.

I will make a note for it, but on the V-Ray side, this is not very straightforward and I'm not sure if/when we'll get to it.

        Best regards,

          Okay I see,

I've tried posting a message to the Hairfarm developer, since he might be able to save out data before applying hair. But I'll cross my fingers that you could make a blend render element, it would be very useful.
