Not sure if you can already do this, but i don't understand why is only one channel ticked by default? Also, why the weird names, what happened to RGB?

Both things? I kinda god annoyed when a rendering was done after a couple of hours and i realized i only had one channel ticked

The one channel has been like this forever; but it may be a good idea to change it.
