  • Noise profiles for Neat Video

    Hi!

We're using Neat Video a lot in post, especially for vray-renderings when cutting down render quality due to tight deadlines.
Neat Video does a very good job with different kind of noises, but you always need to take a "noise print" of a larger area with uniform information in the color channels so it can analyze the noise.

Sometimes I put a grey plane inside my scene and render out a single image for the noise print, but it's difficult to deal with noise related to AA of thin objects like fur or hair strands because you don't get a uniform area due to high contrasts.
I know this approach is not very correct in terms of mathematic principles, but often the results are quite good.

I was wondering if it's possible to let vray write a noise profile for Neat Video with all the (more than just from analyzing a picture) information it has when rendering? So one could just load the generated noise profile in neat video?

    Kind regards

    Tobi
