  • VRay IES preview

    Hey guys,

Just wondering how difficult it would be to impliment a preview of the IES lights in the file browser; the same way the max photometric lights have. Just a graph showing the shape of the light would be sufficient, though a rendered preview would be even better though no doubt more difficult to impliment.

Also, with the VRayIES what are the units it works in? It doesn't say, and isn't selectable.
Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

We have this request in our "to do" list already. Unfortunately we can not provide a time range for its implementation.
V-Ray takes the light units information from the IES file.

Or use project manager from track scripts ...

        3dsmax integrated,
        on the fly ies views,
drag and drop files automatically instanced,
select lights -> right click -> change selected lights with another ies (will automatically populate and update all the lights with the new ies file)

        and so much more...
