  • Exclude atmospheric effects from GI

It would be great to disable atmospheric effects from GI, so that they apear in reflections and refractions but don't slow down the GI Solution!
In a lot of cases you don't realy need it in the GI, but I would need the effects in refractions and reflections.
At the the monent I allways have to precalculate the GI without atmospheric effects and than render it with the saved GI and the effects enabled!
    That's realy a time killer!

Are you using the VRayEnvironmentFog? It has an option to make it invisible to GI rays in the "Ray Filter" rollout.

No in most cases it is Scatter VL, VolumeLight, Afterburn or Fume, not Vray atmospherics.
I have a lot of scenes with a huge number of Lights with Volume light (or ScatterVL), Vray EviromentFog is nice but quite slow!

Would it be possible to make the Vray Shadow types compatible to the Max Shadoe Typen, so that they would work with VolumeLight, Fume, ect...

Ah I see. Sure we can add an option to skip atmospherics for GI rays.

Yes, this is implemented for V-Ray 3.0 (at least for the Sitni Sati plugins, not sure about Max atmospherics).
