    I think vray is the only renderer that doesn't have a disc shaped light.

    Will get to that... it's pretty low on the priority list though, as you can always use a disc-shaped mesh light. Yes, I know it would be more convenient to have it in the drop-down, but the end render result will be the same anyways.

      is the mesh light not aeons slower than the standard vraylight? thats been my experience in the past, but ive never done a direct comparison, rectangle for rectangle...

        I haven't done a direct comparison either; in theory a dedicated sampling method should indeed be (slightly) better. But I have yet to test it.

                  +1 more vote. Recently I have been moving away from mesh lights as they seem to need a lot more samples to render cleanly.
