    I wish:

    1) There was better integration with MAX - specifically in the Global Lighting panel of the Environment settings. It'd be nice if global Tint and Level settings actually worked. And any chance of getting Ambient light to work with the Vray material?

    2) Settings to exclude lights from GI. Something like this:



    That way you could have lights that only contribute direct light, or only contribute to the GI.

    ...and a couple of lesser wishes...

    3) Soft edged Vrayshadows. As someone reported, setting turning area shadows on for a direct light turns it into a spot light. so instead, could we have an option to blur the edges of a standard vray shadow.

    4) HDRI map that works as a texture map. (with the parameters of MAXs Bitmap map) I know spllutterfish do a free HDRI import plugin, but I think the Vray team could produce a more elegant solution through modifying the existing Vray HDRI map.

    oh, and one more

    5) more of an afterthought to 1) really: What are the chances of getting MAXs exposure settings to work with Vray? I'm guessing they're tricky to implement. Although Vray's color mapping looks like a worthy replacement, so is it possible to mimic some MAX exposure settings as extra color mapping types?

    That'll do for now I reckon.
