  • Indirect Light switch for VRayLightMtl

It would be nice to also have and "Indirect Light" switch/checkbox for the VRayLightMtl just as we have the direct illumination switch.
I am aware that this setting could also be tweaker by object via the "Generate GI" property, but I think a material based solution would be even better.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

In 3ds Max, we added an option to the VRayMtl self-illumination to turn off GI; would this approach work for you too for the cases where you don't need any lighting from the material?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi,
I didn't test it but if Self Illumination in the VRayMtl works the same as in the VRayLightMtl then this would suffice. Other question would be if I would need the VRayLightMtl at all if I don't want to use direct illumination since the VRayMtl has this self illumination parameter now.
