Just having am animation with lots of hair, the progressive mode seems to be the fastest candidate to clear out the image successfully.
Now we are having the problem that we are using several machines of different power in our studio. Obviously we need to find a threshhold for the render to stop:
Maximum time: would result in renderings of varying quality because of faster and slower machines.
Threshhold: We never managed to use threshhold to limit a render time. The passes just fly through once 99,99% of the render is satsifying, but does never stop.
So I thought about entering the maximum number of passes instead of time, which would work well with the threshhold. Faster computers would work faster, etc.
But Maximum number of passes is not there, is it? That would be perfect for network rendering!
Best regards, Peter
