  • VrayLightSelect

Not sure if this is a bug or by design:

    Create a vraylightselect element
    Assign a light to it.
Now delete the light from the scene.
Refresh the ui and the light is now in the light list as <deleted>.

Can it just be removed from the list rather than remaining as <deleted>? It plays havoc with RPManager!

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers,
    Olly

    Hey olly
I run into this a lot.
Not sure if you doing this already but if you have a lot of passes try this.

If lights get deleted you can figure out which light selects are bugging out duplicate a pass (its a temp pass) close rpm and
open up regular vray panel and fix the broken pass by removing the deleted lights and potentially add new ones etc.
re-open rpm you temp pass should now have a fixed light select.
Save a .rel file from the elements tab in RPM
    delete temp pass
select all passes and right click on the render elements, then select all render elements and hit delete, removing all render elements from all passes.
Hit the L button and load up your .rel and apply to all passes.

      hi pg1,

I do something similar with maxscript, but it just seems like the issue shouldn't be there.

Why would anyone want to reference a deleted node in a render element?

      Cheers,
      Olly

Get in touch with the Autodesk developers and pray that they fix it.
