Already an old topic.
Seems the converter doesn't work on lights and proxies..
Is there any way there will be a good script in the near future?
The other way around is so damn easy.
I do some projects in Corona if i work with someone else, but myself prefer Vray. But the hassle it takes to get all the lights and proxies back to Vray makes me think i continue in Corona.
Will we ever see a converter that works? I am seeing more and more models that I want to buy, but they have Corona materials, but I can't because I can't convert the materials.

Well that should tell you something. Either jump ship and switch to Corona, or just get yourself UMC (Universal Material Converter) by Stefan Twigt
I'd go for the 2nd option.
One suggestion though, I don't know if Stefan implemented it yet, but his script works almost too good. I suggested he gives an option to ignore Dispersion or switch it off. If he didn't get that far yet, then use Olly's VMC script to switch off Dispersion on the VRayMtls after you used UMC to convert (It's basically the Abbe number for Refraction)
I went to convert a model in my scene, but I converted the whole scene. I purchased the UMC script, but I have to wait for a license, I guess. I read their forum, what I could because it isn't English, and people are not getting their code. Is this a dead script or is it still being developed? How long to get your code?
I have the UMC script as well, and I do get upgrades from time to time so not dead. However, I've really never gotten it to work. I import Revit files with Autodesk materials and after conversion to Vray they are still there, as far as I can tell nothing happens.
I got my license and it seems to work, somewhat, but not enough to save me. It doesn't seem to work on sub-object materials, which is 1/2 my scene and all my Forest Pro stuff.
