VRay plane light & Softbox map

Hello,

Would there ever be a way to display Softbox map applied to a plane light in viewport ? or is it impossible because of 3dsmax ?

We tried that, at least for bitmaps (not entirely sure for the Softbox specifically); we even got it working for the DirectX viewports (I think there is an option for that in the VRayLight), but we had trouble getting this to work in Nitrous. I'm sure there's a way to show the map, we just need to dig deeper into the 3ds Max SDK.
