    That would be awesome!

I am aware that there is a scratches plugin map available for free online but that is just nowhere near any kind of satisfying.
It needs to pre-calculate a map, and mapping coords. It has no settings for "wobblyness" etc, there is just so much more potential.

DId I miss something and it exists already? If not it would be awesome to have it in VRay

I think the Simbiont textures had something with scratches... does that look fine? We can probably implement something similar.

    Best regards,

yep +1 for a scratches map.. ideally more than just a set of generic scratches with a length range. scratches, scuffs, custom maps for fingerprints, smears etc, clustering .. ok im getting carried away, maybe all this could be done with blends.

Do you mean these: http://www.darksim.com/html/simbiontmax.html ?
They look like crap to be honest, at least the scratches thumbnail.

Well, maybe something can be written in OSL; will see if we can look into it.

Oh that would be so nice! +1
I painted my own map for this, but having it as a procedural map is much better. No switching back and forth between Max and PS.
