  • Vray note node (slate material editor)

Simply a node which does nothing except pipes a material or map in and out and provides a means to add notes in the material editor.

It would also be good if you could pipe multiple maps through the node with the ability to specify how many pipes it contains.

Examples: I would use this to keep the colour swatches tidy that are going into a mapped gradient.
Or just a single pipe to label my vertex colour RGB channels that I'm creating in GrowFX.

Sounds good, but could you not just use the name of the map to do the same?

A description field would be useful. Plus copying nodes looses the name.

How about a notes rollout in the VRay materials instead/ in addition? This way the notes stay with the actual materials. Maybe? I guess the other way works too.
