    I'd like to request a faster implicit surface method than using a vray metaball object with a texture multiplier. That method is both difficult to visualize and also extremely slow. I see that Octane 3.0 has a pretty nice method.

    And how do you know it's fast in Octane (compared to its normal speed)?

    I'm not saying that it's not useful to have that; but having the metaballs is also useful for other cases.

      Absolutely correct. I have no idea if its any faster. I also think metaballs are very useful to have. I'm just wishing there was a simpler, speedier way to create implicit ISO surfaces. Mainly for cool abstract stuff.
