  • VRayMultiSubTex add uvw mapping randomization

It would be very useful to have the ability to randomize the uvw mapping through VRayMultiSubTex :
-random offset + option to specify increments
-random rotation + option to specify increments
    -random flip X and Y

    That would be incredible. +1

    May I add:
    - Random hue/sat/gamma + options to set limits and maybe a map slot to drive variations
    - Option to add textures from a folder. So if we have a lot we don't need to add them one by one.

You want to turn it into MultiTexture essentially, right?

          Better than MultiTexture.
MultiTexture doesn't have option to randomly transform textures per object. I can rotate textures but all textures are rotated so the same.
There is option to randomize tranform with BerconMapping. But without possibility to set increments.

Not exactly : multitexture can't offset the maps randomly. And that would be even more useful than random rotation to avoid repeating patterns.

Unfortunately Crossmap interface is very misleading concerning offset randomization. It actually does ONLY randomize the source map as stated in the documentation here : http://www.vizpark.com/crossmap-reference-guide/

                Code:
Note: The random shift only randomizes the SOURCE maps, not the maps on target geometry, which means that one bitmap is shifted once, not differently on multiple objects, faces or other elements.
This means that you cannot get random offsets by object/face/id/...
