  • Light Include and Exclude based on layer

It would be nice if there was an option to have an include/exclude list in lights based on layer not node.

Are you talking about LightSelect Render Element or something else?

You mean you should be able to pick a layer in the light include/exclude dialog?

        Best regards,

Correct for the include/exclude lists in the light itself. I wouldn't mind it in the LightSelect as well. Just something that I can more procedurally include/exclude. I do use RPManager and scripts. "For o in objects where substring o.name blahblahblah". But when you're bringing in xrefs regularly and adding and removing objects it's hard to ensure for instance that entire cars/objects etc aren't excluded from a reflector. A layer based system would make it easier since I could delete an object, bring in an updated asset and as long as it was on say the "Foreground" layer it would just automatically respect that.

Alternately a built in script-filter would be acceptable and I could write a 'collect' expression.
