  • [Minor] VRayMesh MultiSub Material display

It would be cool if we could chose which submaterial gets its color displayed in the preview mesh.
At the moment it seems that always the first submaterial gets displayed.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

I'm using quite a lot the MultiSubObject MTL and it's important to visually recognize which preview is showing a single mat or not.

I hope it will be included in the next update

Can you elaborate what you don't see in the viewport?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Sorry, probably I've written badly in English.
Speaking about the classic material editor, I mean that it's important to visually recognize which material is a MultiSubObject and which not. The old preview slot show the material ball differently if it's a single mat or if it's a MultiMTL.
The new one show just the first material and it's not enough to fast understand which is a MultiMTL and which not, and if it's a MultiMTL if it's the MultiMTL A or MultiMTL B.

If you want to understand which kind of mat is, you have to select it.
Or you have to memorize the slot positions but it quite counterintuitive.

          Is it more clear now?
Let me know, otherwise I'll add some images.

Yes I think the original request from this thread is VRayProxy + MultiSub related.

You mean that with the new swatches (V-Ray 5) there's only the first sub-mtl shown?
