Just a small tweak which i think would be useful. Currently, VRayScatterVolume material shows some orange color in the viewport, making scene look a bit odd if it's used extensively. I think the color could be derived from one of the material's color swatches. Sub-surface color would be the best fit I think, as it's the one users will probably most likely use to tint the SSS color.
