  • Don't update RT buffer when clicking region render button

Most of the time i'm working in RT i have a good overall preview of the render, then i wanna work on a specific area, so i click the region render, but as soon as i do that it starts rendering everything again. I wanted to click render, draw the region and ONLY then it starts rendering. It's a bit annoying and an easy fix i might assume?

This only happens if a draw region hasn't been drawed previously.

    Thanks!

Just to make sure, you mean the case where you haven't used region rendering before in a scene and you click the "region render" toggle in the VFB, but you have not yet drawn the region?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

Yes, exactly. Or when i switch from RT to Production since it resets the VFB.

FYI: switching from RT to production does not reset the VFB, if the resolution is set the same.

Might worth noting it's going from active shade to production as RT is a render engine that can be used in active shade and production.

Sorry just wanted to keep clean
