  • Max 2014: Support VRayTriplanarTex Viewport display

Is it possible? I wouldn't need blending of course, but it would be much more convenient to check texture scale in the viewport, especially for textures that are indirectly affecting the result such as bumpmaps etc.
My workflow for the moment is to create a VRayLightMtl, assign it to the object, start RT and play with scale until I am satisfied. Having a viewport display would increase my work speed quite a bit.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

If the texture blending is what hinders this to be displayed in the vieweport, could we at least get a texture preview for one of the three axis? Or all three axis but without the blending?

Yeah even that would be much better, it just enabled much quicker working in my opinion.

It should be possible, at least to some extent. Will make a note to look into it.

        Best regards,

Good to know, thanks! For me it's the most valuable feature addition with the last SP, I use it all the time and is has changed my workflow.

Same thing here. I've used it throughout all of my work since it came out. Having the ability to see the maps in the viewport, and some easy way of baking the map to be able to animate the meshes used with it would be insane!
Right now I've got some problems with render to texture.
