  • Any news on the "preview displacement in viewport"-frontier?

    I found this thread where vlado states that it is on the todo list and this was 07-07-2015. Are there any news/progress yet?
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04


    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

    We are sorry to report but this feature is not implemented yet.

      It's really an ease-of-use thing which would be much appreciated from my side (anyone else?). Do you have concrete plans on when to implement this feature yet or is it relatively low on your priority list?

        Unfortunately it is with a low priority for the moment. If more users manifest interest about the feature we will consider increasing the priority.

                        It would be good to have this to be able to do things like hair on a more accurately displaced preview mesh +1
