  • Wishlist with Voting.

Would be nice to have some kind of wishlist like Autodesk has for some of its products (but then one that gets taking into consideration as opposed to Max's Area, and no limit on voting which is kind of weird). This way it would be more clear for everybody seeing what has been wished already (clear title).

Would also be able to see the status of the wish (Taken into consideration, Being Implemented, Denied,...). And when a wish is accepted maybe some kind of 'deadline' for the release. So you won't get the obvious when is this coming and that etc...

I saw you guys were looking for a new forum so might be nice to have this implemented =).

    Thank you.

          +1!

But I would actually keep the vote limit. It forces users to vote on the actually important things and not on the "nice to have" features. It makes you think more before voting, therefore improving the statistics reliability.
          Software:
          Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
          3ds Max 2016 SP4

Agreed but 3 votes is just pathetic. Maybe 10 as a limit is better.

We have thought about it, but we haven't looked into it seriously yet. JIRA allows voting for the various issues in it, but opening our full bug tracker is a bit of an overkill... and also, Atlassian charges per user account. So it will have to be something else... we'll see.

                Best regards,

Hm, its a cool thing to have a place to vote for features...
But on the autodesk forums many users think its a priority list and are quite pissed every jear when just one of the top 5 requests is implemented.
This can be a double-edged sword: on the one side you'll get a list of things people wish for and you'll be able to see how many do which is great, but on the other hand it can end up dictating the direction.
You have done a realy good job as captain of this journey so far.
I'm not against it... just thinking of the negative effects it might have.

I think actually connecting it with any of your systems might be overkill.

In my head it would work if you just install some kind of plugin or subforum with that voting system and let users post wishes in their own words. Then look at the top 10 or something like that and see what is doable etc.

Hehe, yes, there's always the question if you should give users what they want, or what they actually need
