I'm doing asphalt cracks and I noticed that my cracks were too thick.
For best control, I imported them as splines from Illustrator and they're fairly complex. I use the DistanceTex to map them onto the asphalt in a displacement shader to get the cracks.
It's working very good so far, but now that I see they are too thick, it would have been really nice to have an Erode/Dilate parameter inside the DistanceTex to basically offset the edge of which the inside solid color starts.
