We had a discussion with Vlado and Svetlin about some things we needed to do with volume grid, and hit some limitations, I thought it's good to post these here as wishlist items:
- VG support for render elements in the volumetric mode. From there - multimatte support for VG in volumetric mode, custom VG render element that can take any channel and remap to output value.
- Thinkbox Stoke support in VG, so you can pick a Stoke field object. We can do a lot to do shading with Stoke's field toolkit - think color/density by proximity to geometry, velocity, particles, mixing channels, etc. But right now we need to save to vdb and load in VG, which is a heavy extra step, would be great to have direct support.
