my wish list items for render setup & image buffer history:
1. In the Image History a section for each image where a few text notes about that image can be inserted.
2. The ability for the render settings to be saved and associated with each image in the image buffer history.
- It would be even nice if these file notes and render settings could be persistently associated with the related image and survived the current buffer session...
-- And of course be available for loading into the render setup dialog when desired, notes and all...
((This could imply having a "notes section" (& perhaps change log section from previous render job) in the render setup (or related setup file) and perhaps generate a render session "ID" for each job & hence job setup))
...I would suppose that the image name and render session ID could have similar nomenclature or ID appendage.
I would also suppose that similar settings files could be created for other things such as cameras, lights, environments; - save setting/load settings, etc.
Of course there would be a new gray market for V-Ray settings files. (joke)
