  • Missing asset warning for Backburner

    I'm not sure if this is technically possible, but it would be nice if a node rendering a scene through Backburner could send an error message if an asset is missing (and therefore stop the render on that node). I've fairly frequently had machines fail to pick up V-Ray proxies for some reason and then scatter the animation with useless frames...

    Such option already exists in the System/Advanced tab, it's name is Check for missing files.

    A popup window appear if missing asset is found and a note about it is printed in V-Ray log file:

    The option also works when rendering trough BB but the error message is not very informative:
