  • For the love of the almighty: Tooltip duration!

Let me preface this rant by saying I really appreciate the mostly concise tooltips of all the UI elements in the render dialog.
But come on, do either of two things (me preferring the first one): Either make the tooltips last longer (personally I would love it if they just stay visible until your mouse is no longer over the "tooltippable" field) or make the tooltips so short you actually can read them in the short amount of time they are visible.

I'm not sure if this is a windows thing but I guess you guys have influence over it.

Again - I really love having a short explanation of the parameter and its use cases/defaults etc - definitely something you should keep up or even improve further. But give me a chance to read it all without flipping the table because I constantly have to re-mouse-over.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

It's somewhere on the "to do" list to research a suitable way to do that. In general tooltip display duration is controlled by Windows and it related to the double-click speed (not that it helps in any way, just saying ). It's possible to switch to balloon-style tooltips, but we need to research that as well.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Not to say Autodesk usually do things the right way, but I think tooltips for the ribbon features are pretty cool :P

Good to know this is windows related. I understand this is not high priority at all - I just thought you maybe had a simple value for the display duration. But alas - Windows is f***ing things up again... Whelp - at least it isn't Autodesk this time!

Maybe, but what's wrong with that ? I find these tooltips pretty efficient.
