  • disableing reflections for matte objects

I recently ran into a problem where I needed to isolate a few objects in my current project and render the rest as matte objects but as it turns out if there is a matte object with reflections it is expected behavior that the object renders normally in the RGB pass. The only was it doesn't is if the reflections are turned down to 0 which is fine if you are not dealing with hundreds of materials. So for my request/suggestion I would love it if we could have a switch in the V-Ray object properties to disable the reflections on the object(s) so that we dont have to edit hundreds of materials manually and then change them back after.
    Cheers,

Can you not use the global material override for this purpose?

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Yea but I only wanted it for a select few object that I had set to matte. In hindsight Svetlozar pointed out that just what I was asking for is already there in Reflection amount on the lower right side of the V-Ray object properties window. its been a grueling month with this project working 16+ hour days which explains why Im missing stuff due to lack of sleep lol.
