  • Slate Material Editor: Vray Back drop node

    Hello,
This may be a request better proposed to Autodesk but I find Chaos group x100000 more responsive. Mainly because Chaos group understands the power of listening to suggestions.

I wish that there were a backdrop node for the slate material editor that acts in much the same way as a backdrop in Nuke.

It would neaten up complex networks. You could add notes for other artist so that anyone could understand and quickly make adjustments.

On that note it may even be a cool idea to make empty nodes that filled with specific controls of a shader network. These specific controlled could be exposed for user friendly editing.

Anyway...I just had these Ideas in mind for some time, hope you think they are good

Neil Blevins has been requesting this on the Max user voice for several years, unfortunately I don't think Chaosgroup will be able to implement it as it's purely a max limitation, I'm really hoping I'm wrong.

    Cheers.
