I agree with him and so it will be great to have a new type of environment ( like a simply background where i can put a photo and that's all) that I can see behind the vray glass when I use hdri for reflections and refractions.

this is an example of vray global rollout (my wish )

wouldnt it just be easier to split the override into reflection and refraction.
normally if ive got a background image and im using an override for some objects. if i wanted to see my background in certain glass objects i just simply put the background in the environment slot of the glass's material and that will override the override.

yes, but as you can see, it's a trick.

I I'd like to have a simply background. Only this.

      Thanx

It is actually completly possible now. What you need to do is to give your glass an alpha in the VrayMTL, by using that option in the material editor. Then you can comp it in. Vray is unique compared to any other raytracing engine to it can give refractive objects an alpha channel. You should take advantage of it.

If that is not good enough, then your option would be the only other way. But you would need to relabel it... it would be:

        - GI environment
        - Reflection
        - Refraction
