  • VRayHDRI map not shown in Material/Map Navigator

    Hello,

I didn't know if I should post this as a bug or as a wish. One of my cowokers has recently taken the habit to use VRayHDRI for any kind of map, why not, but something bothers me with that: the name of the map used in VRayHDRI doesn't display in the Material/Map Navigator window (enclosed screenshot). Do you guys think it can solved, please ?
    Thanks.

Double click any of the entries and it opens at that level in the Mat Editor

Thanks, andy51, I know this (single click is enough here) but that's not the problem. I just have the habit to see the name of the maps used in the MAt/Map Navigator, it can be practical for various purposes, and that's the behavior of the std 3dsmax map node.

Yes but you do not apply the VRayHdri map directly to say the reflection slot, as you would a bitmap, it gets loaded differently, so all you will see is the fact that it is a Vray HDRI map.. and to be honest, since it is so easy just to double click the material OR map you wish to examine, I see no problem. .One other thing though, the 3DSMax material map browsers functionality, is down to Autodesk not, as it is a Max feature, not a Vray one, so I guess if you want someone to fix it, then the Autodesk forums would be the place to go

OK ... I thought it was down to Chaos Group, since VRay HDRI is a Chaos Group feature. Nothing crucial though, I was just asking
