I have mentioned it before, but I don't think I have placed it in the wishlist forum. I would love for the VFB to have rules and guides like Photoshop. When setting up composition they would be indispensable. Currently, I literally take out a ruler and hold it to my screen, placing tape on my screen to hold places.

Seems to work in 2018 (I downloaded version 1.5.1).
Just has the annoying behaviour of automatically turning on safe frames for the active viewport. However, this seems to be by design and not a bug. So as soon as you activate any viewport it will also turn safe frames there and show the guides. Does that make sense? Source is available and the license allows changes - so it could be modified to only shows the guides on a viewport that has "Show Safe Frames" turned on for example. That is what I would have done.
