  • Stop VRay installing from opening web browser

Just a small nitpick, but it is a huge annoyance when I'm installing a bunch of plugins on new nodes or new Max installation. Whenever a plugin is done installing and I close its installation window, I instinctively jump back to the file explorer to grab and install the next plugin. But....the VRay installer opens up the web browser to let me know the installation was complete cutting off key presses that I was doing for the next install. Yes, I know it was complete, I was right there installing it. Get out of my life (Alt + F4)!

My wish is that this annoying trait be terminated from the VRay installer. This is the only software/plugin I install that does this to me after installing it, it is completely unnecessary. At least give me an option with a check box to open this redundant message if I want to see it (I don't).

    Rant over.

The option is present I think, I always choose not to have it open the browser.....it still does though.

The options that are available are to see the change log and to go to the support page, "Documentation - Chaos Group Help". No options to turn off the "Successful Installation | Chaos Group" page. When we still had some nodes that were on XP Pro, I think the browser actually blocked VRay installer from opening a web page. Once we upgraded to Win 7 and up, it pops up every time. Maybe there's a system setting that can prevent certain apps from opening the browser? I don't want to block all apps of course, as that is where help documentation comes from these days.
