V-Ray for Blender - Public Beta launch and migration

Hello everybody,

I've got a quick announcement to make.
Tomorrow, December 10th we will be officially launching V-Ray for Blender, Public Beta if of course something doesn't delay the release until later this week.
What does this mean?

• The current builds that you have will continue working until the license expires
• Everybody with existing V-Ray license subscription will automatically get a new V-Ray for Blender Beta license and will by able to download the new version from my.chaos.com
• If you don't have an existing V-Ray for Blender license you can apply for the new Public beta on our website when it goes live and get a new license for the new version of V-Ray and continue using the product.
• The current V-Ray for Blender, beta forum will become public for everyone

It will be based on V-Ray 7 It's going to be much more easier for us to start working on the V-Ray 7 features that are based on that core when the time comes.

Hi Ivan, is the Blender beta Windows only? do you plan to support MacOS in the future?

Currently it's for Windows only. We do have plans for supporting macOS and Linux in the future. Since there are a lot of things planned for development and prioritizing in this case would play a big role.
We've created this short survey that everyone who applies to join the beta has a chance to fill it. The data we gather from there will help with prioritizing the tasks especially for the future OS and support various Blender versions.

If you're interested in V-Ray for Blender, please spend a minute or so to fill the survey. It will help us a lot in the prioritization process.
