  • Imports V-Ray 3ds Max materials into V-Ray blender with full editability

Do we will see the ability to get V-Ray 3ds Max materials as V-Ray Blender native material in the future releases, this will be extremely useful to have full editability and control for migrated assets and materials from 3ds max.

There's a node called VRmat Mtl Serve the same purpose but doesn't give you a user interface to edit material, you have to use simple code and you can't use textures in this material for others or do some modification with V-Ray materials nodes builded in Blender.

    Hey mina_moosavi
We're already doing this in V-Ray for Cinema 4D by importing full V-Ray scene files (exported from 3Ds Max for example) as native objects (including materials, cameras lights) in Cinema 4D. We will be exploring the possibility of having such an option in V-Ray for Blender as well.
