  • V-Ray: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'fcurves'

After changing my scene from a still image to animation, I get this error when trying to production render.

I've been unable to re-create it, but I am no longer able to render my scene.

Appending my objects to a new scene creates a different error:

Thank you for reporting this. Animation export is one of the areas which is still under active development and there are some use cases that are not handled correctly.
From the logs you provided, I would guess that the object that you are adding to the scene is one that does not have data, e.g. an Empty. Is this indeed the case?

I had a few empties in the scene, but I think the culprit would of been the Rig I had made for my vehicle, which had a simple linear animation on it. I was using bones/armature for it.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll make sure to check & fix the Rig export procedure.

          Hi INK_WORKSHOP,
I'm writing to inform you that the reported behavior concerning rendering animations with empty objects in the scene has been resolved in build 177.
